Settle’s Victoria Hall will host three very different events next weekend.

The fun starts next Friday, February 28, with a dash of calypso courtesy of the Panjumby Jazz Band.

It features Dudley Nesbitt, who is originally from Trinidad and is one of the UK’s leading exponents of jazz steel pan, and Richard Ormrod, best known locally as musical director of Dales Jam and its sibling RamJam.

They will be followed on stage next Saturday by the Mighty Doonans, described as “probably the greatest folk and rock band touring the UK today”.

Next Sunday, Reg Meuross and John Watterson, aka Fake Thackray, headline at the Folk at Victoria Hall event, introduced by Mike Harding. Reg has earned himself the title of “Master Storyteller” with his clever and imaginative lyrics while John has entertained audiences across the UK with the songs of Jake Thackray.
