THE West Yorkshire Savoyards will bring one of the most popular G&S operas, Iolanthe, to Settle's Victoria Hall on Saturday.
Combining beautiful melodies and orchestration with hilarious wit and political satire, Iolanthe looks set to be another hit.
The "Savs" come fresh from individual success at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, held in Harrogate. Bobbie Greatorex, who plays the Lord Chancellor, was nominated as best supporting actor and Valerie Green, who plays the Fairy Queen, was nominated as best supporting actress.
Other cast members include Janice Rendel as Iolanthe, popular actor and director, Graham Weston as the half man-half fairy, Strephon, and experienced principal soprano Helen Fieldsend who plays Phyllis.
Savoyards president, TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh, said: "The works of Gilbert and Sullivan continue to inspire and amuse generation after generation of music-lovers and theatre-goers, and the West Yorkshire Savoyards continue to enthrall their audiences.
"With Sullivan's tuneful melodies and Gilbert's rapier-sharp wit coupled with the WYS's high standards, any audience can be assured of a great night out!”
Once again, the director is ex D’Oyly Carte actor, Alistair Donkin, and the production includes full sets, costumes and an orchestra.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available from settlevictoriahall.org.uk or call 01729 825718.
