THE 14th Ingleton Folk Weekend will take place next weekend.

It will start next Friday, October 3, and will feature a host of free events in and around the village.

This year’s venues include The Falls Cafe, The Ex-Servicemen’s Club, The Wheatsheaf Hotel, the Methodist Church and, further afield, The Marton Arms at Thornton-in-Lonsdale, the Old Hill Inn at Chapel-le-Dale and the Station Inn at Ribblehead.

A wide range of artists, both local and from further afield, will take part and the line-up includes Bill Adair, Marie Little, Errol and Leslie Kirkpatrick, Nick Brooker, Peter Taylor, Keystone Acoustic, Chrysocolla, Jeff Stewart, Zeke Deighton, Dogwatch, Acoustic Legacy, The Duncan McFarlane Band, David Burbidge and The Coppersmiths.

As well as workshops and gigs, there are a number of special events, such as a “folk worship” in the square, open air concerts by the Falls and a comic song exhibition at the Hill Inn.

There will be a regular bus service to all the outlying venues, with a small charge levied per trip.

The full programme can be downloaded at ingletonfolk.co.uk and further information can be obtained from the festival office, which will be located in the car park of the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Main Street, Ingleton, from 11am next Friday.
