YOUNG musicians will perform a varied programme of music while their audience enjoys afternoon tea at Langcliffe Institute on Sunday.
The youngsters are all members of Settle Orchestra, which is keen to nurture future talent by providing orchestral experience.
Many former junior players have gone on to study music at leading universities and conservatoires, including Cambridge, Birmingham, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Birmingham Conservatoire and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
This year’s young musicians play a variety of instruments, including violin, cello, flute, bassoon, trumpet, trombone and marimba.
Some play at county level and some at national level in the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain and the National Youth String Orchestra.
The concert starts at 3pm and tickets costing £5 will be available on the door. The proceeds will go to Settle Orchestra so it can continue its vital work in encouraging young musicians.
