SKIPTON: Skiptonia with Starlings is a photo-collage made from more than 300 images taken in and around the town of Skipton.

It will run until the end of February.

SETTLE: Talking Stock Productions will stage a free performance of its new play Le Grand Return at Victoria Hall tomorrow.

Written by Alan Stockdill, it is a gentle comedy about friendship, remembrance, war and peace.

Set in 1994 as the 50th anniversary of D-Day looms, veteran Tommy is determined to break out from his care home and rejoin his old comrades on the Normandy beaches.

It was inspired by the true story of 89-year-old Bernard Jordan, the veteran who really did abscond from his residential care home last June to return to the D-Day beaches. He died at Christmas.

lTo celebrate the nationwide release of its latest album, Long Preston band The Moonbeams will perform at Poppies Tearoom on Saturday.

It will play songs from the album, Watching Wildlife, which emphasises the beauty of nature in the Dales and the peace and quiet that can be derived from it.

The gig starts at 7.30pm and tickets costing £7 are available from the tearoom.

Watching Wildlife can be downloaded through Amazon, Spotify and itunes and the CD is available through local outlets or direct from The Moonbeams at themoonbeams.co.uk lSettle College art students are exhibiting their work at the town’s Gallery on the Green.

This is the second time that pupils have shown their work in the converted phone box and the current exhibition has the theme, Fauvism in the Dales.

The students have adopted a range of different techniques to recreate the use of energetic and intense colours seen in the art works of Fauvist artists such as Van Gogh, Gauguin and Seurat.

The exhibition will run until March 1.

lSettle Music will hold one of its popular guitar sessions next Friday, February 13.

It will take place at Settle Primary School from 7pm to 9pm and the cost is £5.

lHuddersfield Community Gospel Choir will perform at the 10.30am worship at St John’s Church on Sunday.

The service of music and praise is open to everyone and will be followed by coffee.

AUSTWICK: Austwick Parish Hall Council will show the film, The Invisible Woman, tomorrow.

The film - rated PG - is about Charles Dickens’ 13-year relationship with Nelly Wharton Robinson and stars Ralph Fiennes, Felicity Jones, Kristin Scott Thomas and Tom Hollander.

Doors open at 7pm for the screening at 7.30pm. Admission is £5 (£4.50 for advance purchases at Cross Leigh Stores) and themed refreshments will be available.

BARNOLDSWICK: The timeless story of Peter Pan will be performed at the Rainhall Centre tomorrow at 6.30pm.

Duckegg Theatre Company will present the production, which has been adapted by award-winning playwright Haley Cox and features new writing with young people at its heart.

The cast merges four professional actors with young people from Duckegg’s youth theatre.

BRADLEY: The next film in the Bradley Film Club’s family favourites series will be The Princess Bride.

The PG-rated film will be shown in the hall of the village primary school on Wednesday at 6pm.

GRASSINGTON: Grassington Movie Nights continue in the Octagon Theatre on Saturday.

The 4.30pm film will be Disney’s Maleficient - the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty - while the film at 7.30pm will be Grace of Monaco, an intimate snapshot of a year in the life of the 20th century’s most iconic princess, Grace Kelly, as she strived to reconcile her past and her present.
