IN time for Mother’s Day and in celebration of SOS mothers, a group of local artists are hosting a charity art exhibition in Addingham on Saturday.
The free-to-attend exhibition will take place in the memorial hall from 11am until 2pm.
It will feature the work of five local artists - Joanna Angus, John Giles, Lisa Hinds, Susannah Lawless, and Jenny Young - with pieces covering a diverse range of subjects from local landscapes to the African Savanna.
A proportion of the profits will go to the SOS Children’s Villages charity.
Event organiser Joanna Angus said: “The SOS Children’s Villages charity is close to my heart and a charity I support each year because of the loving homes and families they give to orphaned and abandoned children worldwide.
“The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity to purchase handcrafted gifts for your own mothers while also supporting the wonderful work of SOS mothers who are devoted to caring for these most vulnerable children."
