A BAND with a string of soulful hits is heading for Settle.
The Christians will perform at Victoria Hall tomorrow - ahead of the launch of their new album in the summer.
The band enjoyed huge acclaim in the late 80s and early 90s. Its name came from the surname of the three brothers that were originally in the line-up - Garry, Russell and Roger Christian.
Said to have one of the finest voices in pop, Garry is still lead singer and these days is joined on stage by Neil Griffiths (rhythm guitar/vocals), Joey Ankrah (lead guitar/vocals), Lionel Duke (drums), Cliff Watson (bass guitar/vocals) and Mike Triggs (keyboards/vocals).
The gig starts at 8pm and tickets are available from 01729 825718.
