SKIPTON Little Theatre's recent open play reading night attracted newcomers who wished to become involved in future productions.
Two distinctive scripts were brought to life by the 12 participants.
Robert Bolt's serious study of the changes in family life, The Cherry Tree, contrasted well with John Chapman's comedy favourite, Dry Rot - which provided the laughs in the enjoyable two hour session.
Random play reading evenings will continue to be staged at the Little Theatre in Clifford Street and newcomers are welcome to take part - or just to listen and enjoy.
