ACOUSTIC band Rumours Of Spring will perform at the Sunnybank Social Club in Silsden on Saturday July 23.

Admission to the 9pm concert is free.

Rumours of Spring, from the West Midlands, play modern folk music drawing on a wide range of influences, including folk, rock, blues and jazz.

The band was founded in 2012 following a semi-impromptu recording session between three friends over a beer or two.

The group hit the ground running and haven’t slowed down since, making their debut at a Southampton music festival.

Within months they were playing across the UK, both live on the radio, and supported Dave McPherson (from rock band InMe) and The Levellers.

The band released an album entitled After The Rain 2013, receiving airplay on BBC Introducing.

Rumours Of Spring worked on a second album’s worth of songs during 2014, and it is finally due for release this autumn, following a hiatus caused by a major car accident.

This year there are festival gigs and a support slot with folk group Oysterband.
