AFTER a sell-out performance at the Grassington Festival, a Noel Coward inspired cabaret evening is being reprised at the Gamekeeper’s Inn, Threshfield, on Friday, October 14.

The cabaret evening, Bouncing Bustles and a Smoking Jacket, is in memory of the much loved local film-maker Geoff Kerr, who died just before his last film premiered in Grassington earlier this year.

Noel Coward was greatly influenced by music hall and this cabaret combines some wonderful music hall numbers with excerpts from his plays and a number of his famous songs.

Local entertainers Lorraine Paylor and John Anderson have collaborated on many shows since playing Aladdin and the Dame together in pantomime back in 1989.

They will be accompanied on the piano by Cath Stevenson, formerly musical director of the Huddersfield-based cabaret ensemble Miscellany.

The evening will follow the traditional cabaret format with the audience able to enjoy a meal and a glass or two whilst watching the show.

Tickets cost £10 (or £20 with supper) and are available from Grassington Hub on 01756 752222.

All profits from the evening will go to Cancer Research UK.
