SETTLE will be hosting a Yorkshire Dales Ukulele Weekend from March 17 to 19.

The weekend commences in the Royal Oak on Friday and will feature an event welcome with guest performances from some of the top ukulele musicians in the UK and an open mic session. There will also be a big quiz.

On Saturday there will be events at Victoria Hall throughout the day including workshops, an open mic session and a concert.

Workshops will take place every hour from 11am through to 2pm with the open mic session at 3pm, hosted by Kakebelly.

Applications to take part in this can be sent online beforehand and on the day.

The gala show at 7pm will feature Dead Mans Uke and Special Guests, The League of Ukulele Gentlemen, Danielle Perkins, Liam Capper Starr, Michael Adcock and The Nanukes of the North.

Tickets for the concert only are available for £12.50.

There will also be an after show party at the Royal Oak with uke jamming going on until late.

For hardy souls, the Sunday event in the Royal Oak is a Brunch and Strum, which is a mass strum for everyone who has attended the event coupled with an opportunity to enjoy a good Dales brunch.
