AN award-winning singer/songwriter is set to headline this year's Fallfest in Glusburn.

Brit Award winner Beverley Craven will highlight the 2017 Fallfest with a performance on September 23.

Beverley sprang to fame in the early 1990s with her hit single 'Promise Me', and went on to become a huge hit across Europe.

She followed this up with a string of chart successes including 'Memories', Holding On', 'Woman To Woman' and 'Love Scenes'.

The Fallfest's gala event, a part of Beverley’s UK Tour Up Close and Personal, is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, At Glusburn Institute Community and Arts Centre.

A packed three-day festival, organisers are promising Fallfest this year promises it will be a sell out event.

Friday night sees the highly acclaimed play Two, by Jim Cartwright, performed by Falling Stars Theatre Company under the experienced eye of director Rebecca Durham.

Daytime on the Saturday will see an enlarged Farmers’ Market, together with the second Fallfest Five Trail Race organised by Brett Weeden, Keighley and Craven Athletics Club.

Fallfest volunteer David Seaward, Fallfest volunteer said: “We are constantly trying to ring the changes at Fallfest.

“To this end 2017 will see an expansion of the trail race to include a junior event, and in a first, we are introducing the Fallfest Beer and GinFest.

“This will be run by Kath Thornton who runs Haworth Beer Festival and will comprise a range of exclusive gins and over 15 craft beers.”
