AN Embsay man and Cowling radio station presenter has organised a music gig in Skipton next week.

Mark Smith, who presents Drystone Radio Introducing, will host the gig at Venue Sports and Music Bar on Friday, May 26. It starts at 8pm.

Mark, who goes by Marky Smith on his show, said the gig will feature a mixture of soul, folk, dance, trap and hip hop and Indie music.

The main headliner on the night is rap artist Nelson from Leeds. His music is jazz influenced with poetic lyrics. He has opened for many big names in hip hop, such as Loye Carner, Ghostface Killah and Pharoahe Monch.

The second headliner for the gig is 14-year-old Leeds soul singer Cole LC, who will be featured on the up and coming series of the Voice Kids UK on ITV. He has also been featured on Britain’s Best Buskers.

Also featured will be Leeds soul singer PAiiGE, who can play a range of instruments, has a creative sound and produces all her own music.

Upbeat and catchy Leeds rap artist Jack City, who recently was long listed for the emerging talent competition for The Glastonbury Festival 2017, will also perform, as will Shipley band The Sheratons and Keighley duo Caledonia Road.

Ilkley trap and electric DJ Trophy will do a set on the night, as will Marky's sister shows on the Cowling station, 3Eproductions from Northern Freetown and DJ Youngy.
