SETTLE Amateur Operatic Society is looking for 'sailors' to join the crew of the cruise ship SS America.

The SAOS is appealing for cast members to join the cast for its upcoming musical Anything Goes.

Captained by SAOS stalwart Graham Jarvis the ship’s crew members can be young or not so young.

Anyone interested should contact producer Pat Harding patharding68@gmail.com or SAOS secretary Barbara Mclernon on barbaramclernon@gmail.com

The society last performed this show in 1992.

Trudi Wilson, now SAOS chairman, has wonderful memories of playing Mrs Wadsworth T Harcourt.

Trudi said: “It is a really lovely show to do. I remember that rehearsals were great fun and the songs are amongst some of my favourites.

"I recommend joining the cast of Anything Goes to anyone. It tells the age-old story of boy-meets-girl and the ensuing complications.

"This amusing story wrapped around Cole Porter's magical score, which includes 'It's De-Lovely', 'I Get A Kick Out Of You', 'Anything Goes', 'You're The Top' and 'Blow, Gabriel, Blow', is a literal toe-tapper. Anything Goes is a show not to be missed!"
