COLNE Orpheus Glee Union will sing at 2.30pm on Sunday in the Baptist Church Centre, on Manchester Road, Barnoldswick.
Colne Orpheus is thought to be one of England’s longest-established male voice choirs, with an unbroken history of more than 130 years. The choir was founded in 1886.
The Orpheus has proudly flown the flag for Bonny Colne – the town’s own song - throughout its history, spreading the name of Colne far and wide through music festival successes, gramophone recordings and radio broadcasts.
In recent years, the Orpheus has enjoyed singing trips to Germany, Ireland, France, Malta (where the audience included the Prime Minister) and the Scottish Highlands.
The choir’s repertoire includes male voice favourites, show songs, modern popular classics, hymns and spirituals.
Admission is £5 and includes refreshments.
