A COMEDY filmed in Barnoldswick and Ilkley will be screened during a classic film night tomorrow at the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre in Colne.

The Saturday Night at the Movies season continues at the Pendle Hippodrome, on New Market Street, with a 7.30pm showing of the hilarious comedy A Private Function (1984) which was filmed in Barnoldswick and Ilkley and stars Michael Palin and Dame Maggie Smith.

In post-war Britain, food rationing continues, leading a married couple to become involved in the flourishing bacon black market.

The Pendle Hippodrome will also host an evening of festive musical entertainment at the theatre this Saturday.

A Musical Christmas, featuring the Colne Orpheus Male Voice Choir, The Swing City Big Band and the Nelson Ladies Civic Choir, will begin at 7.30pm on Saturday.
