A CRAVEN music student is hitting the high notes this month beginning with the release of his new single which was then followed by a successful launch show at a music venue in Leeds.

Ronan Peaker, from Thornton-in-Craven, now in his second year at Leeds College of Music studying for a degree in Music Production, not only plays the guitar and drums but is becoming a recognised songwriter performing his own songs on stage.

He co-produces his stage shows with Mickey Dale, who plays in Brighouse-based band Embrance, who were chosen to record England’s official World Cup song, World At Your Feet, in 2006..

And Ronan’s new single Breathing is being produced at The Cellar of Dreams studios in Bradford .

Using Lelo as his musical identity, Ronan’s new single is already gaining attention in the form of reviews and interviews - both close to home and further afield.

Ronan said: ‘‘I went to my good friend Mickey Dale’s studio to produce the track. I’ve worked with Mickey numerous times now, and it always turns out better than the last. He’s got skill sets that enhance Lelo so much- they wouldn’t be the same without him.”

Ronan will next perform at the Live at Leeds Festival alongside bands such as The Vaccines, Peace and Circa Waves

Ronan added: “I am thoroughly enjoying my course at university and the experience I am also gaining by performing my own work is invaluable to my degree and hopefully my future in the music industry.”
