A FORMER member of the band Chumbawamba will his exhibit artwork in Settle.

Phil Moody once toured top music venues with British anarcho-punk band Chumbawamba, but, following the band’s break-up in 2012, he returned to work as a visual artist and for the next two months will be exhibiting at the Gallery on the Green.

His installation, titled Interventions with Stone, will be on display from Saturday to May 25. His work will include drawings, paintings, photographs and recordings. It looks at stone walls, stone in the landscape and even the sound of stone.

Phil, who has an MA in Visual Art, has a home and studio in Bingley and typically creates artwork in film, photography, painting, drawing and text.

He joined Chumbawamba in the early 2000s as the accordionist, but played a variety of instruments.

During his time with the band they performed at Glastonbury, made the albums The Boy Bands Have Won and ABCDEFG, and helped produce the band’s theatrical production Riot, Rebellion and Bloody Insurrection.
