A CHARITY concert will be held at 2.30pm on Sunday at St Andrew’s Church, Skipton.
Choral singer Sally Goodman is organising a concert to raise funds for Carers’ Resource, a charity that provides support for carers.
Skipton resident Sally sings in two local choirs, Piusuti and Skipton Choral Society, but is also a full-time carer for her husband, Steve Hill, who has Alzheimer’s.
The concert, which is sponsored by Just Sing Skipton, will showcase local talent with a mix of styles, voices and instruments.
The performers, including Sally, will be ladies choir The Cobbydale Singers, opera singer Hannah Mason, conductor Robert Webb, soloist Jennifer Webb soloist Sharon Wilson, singer songwriter Phil Friend, accompanist Charlie Dobson and a local flute quartet.
The concert will not be ticketed, but it is hoped the audience will give generously as they leave. Tea, coffee and home-made cakes will be provided in the interval for a small donation.
