THE premiere of a new film featuring the Yorkshire Dales is being shown at the Victoria Hall in Settle later this month.

The film Streams of Wonder - Looking for the Heart of the Yorkshire Dales, which is being screened at 7.30pm on Saturday, May 26, has been produced by The Moonbeam Collective, a Long Preston-based not for profit group which aims to celebrate the environment and rural life through music and the arts.

Jon Avison, of The Moonbeam Collective, said: "We have worked really hard over the past year to produce this film that gently explores the Dales in all their various moods and guises.

"The Moonbeam Collective evolved from our Moonbeams folk band that regularly plays our popular Songs From The Dales throughout the area.

"In addition to the night being a film premiere we are also celebrating the launch of the Moonbeams third album This Land."

Streams of Wonder has been produced with the help of funding from The Yorkshire Dales National Park’s Sustainable Development Fund and The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust’s Roger Stott Community Grant scheme.

Jon added: "People booking accommodation to come to the premiere have told us that Settle is filling up fast.

"It is promises to be a fantastic night and we hope lots of people will come along and join us on the red carpet for a glass of fizz, some music and of course the first screening of Streams of Wonder.
