SKIPTON: The exhibition Stepping Into View will be on display at Craven Museum and Gallery until the end of March.

The exhibition, a collaboration between Stepping Stones, Craven College and Craven Museum and Gallery, will display photographs taken by a local group of adults with learning disabilities, detailing everyday life in Skipton.

The gallery in Skipton Town Hall is open every day except Sundays, from 10am to 4pm.

Skipton Players will present the Alan Ayckbourn comedy Relatively Speaking from Tuesday to Saturday, February 25 at Skipton Little Theatre, on Clifford Street.

Relatively Speaking, the play that gave Alan Ayckbourn his very first West End hit, will be staged at 7.30pm each night.

Skipton Music will present a concert performance by the Aurora Wind Ensemble in Skipton Town Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 28.

Established in 1996, the Aurora Ensemble, which features Maxine Willis on flute, Gwenllian Davies on oboe, Andrew Mason on clarinet, Stuart Russell on bassoon and Helen Shillito on horn, is one of the UK’s premier wind quintets.

The programme includes Zemlinsky's Humoreske, Danzi's Quintet in G minor, Op.56 No.2, Klughardt's Quintet, Hindemith's Kleine Kammermusik No.2, Arnold's Trio (flute, oboe, clarinet) and Briccialdi's Wind Quintet in D, Op.124.

Skipton Film Club will screen the stop-motion animation film Anomalisa on Sunday, March 5, in the Plaza Cinema, on Sackville Street.

The film is open to everyone and tickets cost £5.50 for film club members and £6.50 for non-members.

The Langcliffe Singers will host the Come and Sing event: Handel's Messiah on Saturday, February 25, at Christ Church, Skipton.

For a fee of £10, singers from all over the Craven area and beyond are invited to come and rehearse the Handel's Messiah music with the choir from 2.30pm, and then complete the day with a performance at 7.30pm.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will host a performance by the folk band The Hut People starting at 8.30pm on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street.

SETTLE: The former BT telephone box, which houses the Gallery on the Green, will return to its origins with its current exhibit which focuses on phones.

Mobiles, landlines, phone boxes, phone lines, puns and jokes and all sorts of pictures of telephones, real and imaginary, form the basis of Settle Photographic Group's exhibition Focus on Phones, which runs through March 12.

The Comedy All Stars stand up show, headlined by Patrick Monahan, will be held at 8pm on Sunday in Settle Victoria Hall.

The show will also feature stand up by Raymond Mearns and Preston funnyman Tony Vino will compere the evening.

Doors open at 7.15pm and all tickets cost £10.

Just Like That, a tribute show to comedian Tommy Cooper, will be held at 7.30pm on Friday, February 24, in Settle Victoria Hall.

Doors open at 6.45pm and tickets costs £12 for adults £12 with £10 concessions for under 18s and over 65s.

The band Ferocious Dog will perform in Settle Victoria Hall on Saturday, February 25.

The six-piece band's music encompasses folk infused with rock, reggae and Celtic vibrations.

Doors open at 7pm with a support band playing at 8pm and Ferocious Dog taking the stage at 8.45pm.

All tickets cost £13.50.

BARNOLDSWICK: A live acoustic session with the legendary Big Country will be held at 7pm on Thursday, March 2, in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, 18-22 Rainhall Road.

The concert is presented by Concert For The Kids.

BURTON-IN-LONSDALE: Concert and Cakes will hold its next concert at 2.30pm on Saturday when ensemble Dani Sciari and the Easy Rollers will be performing at All Saints Church in Burton-in-Lonsdale.

ELDROTH: Afternoon tea with words and songs will take place in Eldroth Church at 2.30pm on Sunday, February 26, as writer Veronica Caperon from Lawkland launches her début collection of poetry, Two Left Boots.

A selection of poems will be read by Veronica and friends, Beth Lowe will sing a couple of songs from the shows and brother and sister singer-songwriters Jonathan and Charlotte will entertain with their mix of original and well known songs.

GARGRAVE: Gargrave Pantomime Group will present its 2017 show, Sinbad the Sailor, from Thursday, February 23, Saturday, February 25, at Gargrave Village Hall.

Written by Peter Denyer and directed by Anita Eccles, the pantomime features a large cast of both children and adults.

The evening shows are at 7.15pm and there is also a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.

GLUSBURN: Glusburn Youth Theatre will present their annual pantomime Beauty and the Beast from Sunday to Saturday, February 25, in the Glusburn Community and Arts Centre.

KETTLEWELL: Upper Wharfedale Arts and Literature Society will host the exhibition All Our Yesterdays at Kettlewell Village Hall on Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5, between 10am and 4pm.

The exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to wander through 300 years of social history and features a unique archive of printed and photographic material documenting the changing and enduring way of life in Upper Wharfedale.

Admission is by voluntary donation and refreshments will be on sale.
