Skipton Building Society Camerata will perform the concert Children of the Revolution at 7.30pm on Friday, July 14, in Skipton Town Hall.

The all-Beethoven programme, conducted by Ben Crick, features German violinist Sebastian Mueller performing the Violin Concerto in D followed by Beethoven's Symphony No 3 in E flat 'Eroica'.

Langcliffe Singers will be joined by Skipton Music Centre Choir for a concert at 7.30pm on Saturday, July 8, at Christ Church in Skipton.

New Light: Illuminating artefacts, a free exhibition at Craven Museum in Skipton Town Hall, will run until the end of July.

The exhibition is a body of work created by digital artist Paul Miller, exploring themes of interpretation using the museum's diverse collection.

The exhibition will be open every day from 10am to 4pm, except Sundays.

Skipton Players will present the play Run For Your Wife from August 1 to 5 at Skipton Little Theatre, on Clifford Street.

The play, written by Ray Cooney, tells the story of John Smith, who seems like an ordinary taxi driver, but he has been keeping a big secret.

He has a loving wife named Mary in a flat in Wimbledon, and another loving wife named Barbara who lives in a different flat only four minutes away in Streatham.

The play will be shown at 7.30pm each night and tickets can be booked online at skiptonlittletheatre.org.uk or by ringing 07527 141176 from 14 days before the production.

Skipton Players will also hold a reading for a proposed 2017/18 play at 7.30pm tomorrow.

A technical team for the lights and sound is also needed.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will host a singers night starting at 8.30pm on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street.

SETTLE: Skipton Music Centre Concert Band will perform at Settle College at 7pm tonight.

The concert will feature a varied selection of pieces from the concert band and Settle College ensembles.

Tickets costing £8 (£5 concessions) or £3 for Settle College pupils are available from Alison Rushton in the finance office at Settle College or they can purchased on the door.

Award-winning artist Tom Palin is displaying his paintings until July 8 in the former BT telephone box that is now the Gallery on the Green in Settle.

Every Egg a Bird Theatre Company will perform the play Car Park King at 8pm tomorrow in Settle Victoria Hall.

Car Park King is a new original comedy play about the life of controversial king of England, Richard III.

American folk band Low Lily will perform at 7.30pm on Sunday in Settle Victoria Hall.

Doors open at 6.45pm and all tickets cost £12.

The Settle Beer Festival will be held from Thursday, July 6, to Saturday, July 8, in Settle Victoria Hall.

The fundraising beer festival, which will support the hall itself, will feature 20 real ales, cider, wine and soft drinks. Food will also be on sale and there will be entertainment.

On the Thursday, the event runs from 5pm to 10pm and admission is £1. On the Friday and Saturday, admission is £3 and the event is open from noon to 10pm.

If there is any beer left, the festival will also be open from noon to 4pm on Sunday, July 9, but entry will be free.

There will be a £2 deposit on glasses at each session.

BARNOLDSWICK: Benji Kirkpatrick and The Excess will perform in concert at 7.30pm on Friday, July 14, in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, 18-22 Rainhall Road.

BOLTON ABBEY: Following last year’s production of The Wind in the Willows, Gobbledigook Theatre are returning to perform their adaptation of Robin Hood from July 27 to August 6.

Matinees for the outdoor performance in the Priory grounds will be at 2pm with evening performances at 6.30pm.

BURTON-IN-LONSDALE: The Fitzwilliam Quartet will celebrate the life of Chris Rowland with a special concert at 7pm on Wednesday in All Saints Church.

Dr Chris Rowland, a world-renown violinist who lived in Burton-in-Lonsdale for 20 years. was a founding member of the Fitzwilliam Quartet.

The programme will include Beethoven, Bach and other chamber music.

No ticket is required, but there will be a retiring collection to support the church.

CARLETON-IN-CRAVEN: Iron Horse Country Music Club welcomes the return of singer/songwriter Hayden Allen to Carleton Social Club on Saturday, July 8.

Solo artist Hayden combines classic country songs with self-penned material. Dancers and listeners are welcome.

Doors open at 7.15pm and tickets cost £5 on the door.

Iron Horse CMC will also hold a charity hog roast in aid of Clapham Cave Rescue from 2pm to 11.30pm on Sunday in the Malham Suite at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton.

The country music and dancing event will feature Nigel Slater and the Haleys, with music also being provided by Rocky Top Country DJ. There will also be a charity raffle.

Admission, which is by ticket only, costs £20 and includes the hog roast.

GRASSINGTON: The Grassington Festival is being held until Saturday. There will be a variety of activities and performances held each day.
