SKIPTON: Crafts in the Pen, the annual Christmas market and fundraiser for The Mart Theatre, will be held from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

A wide range of craft work including paper crafts, woodwork, metalwork, ceramics, quilting, jewellery, waxwork and handmade Christmas decorations will be on sale. There will also be a Santa's grotto.

Entry costs £5 on the door.

Craven Arts' Christmas exhibition, featuring works by more than 40 local artists, runs until December 23 in the Exhibition Gallery at Skipton Town Hall.

It is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and on Christmas market Sundays.

Skipton man Sam Boatwright will give a talk about his run and cycle ride across America in the summer.

Sam travelled from New York to Los Angeles, running 50 miles one day and riding 150 miles the next.

He will talk about his experience at Skipton Town Hall on Saturday.

Doors open at 7pm and the talk will start at 7.30pm. A licensed bar will be available.

Acoustic roots duo Mambo Jambo will perform at Skipton Town Hall at 7.30pm on Sunday, November 26.

Their repertoire draws in a wide range of styles which include Bluegrass, Latin and Caribbean, New Orleans and Balkan influences.

Skipton Little Theatre will present The Hollow, a thriller of passion and betrayal by Agatha Christie, from November 28 to December 2.

SETTLE: A National Theatre Live screening of Stephen Sondheim’s legendary musical Follies will take place at 7pm tonight in Settle Victoria Hall.

North Country Theatre will present Nightmares in Norfolk at 7.30pm tomorrow in Settle Victoria Hall.

The evening will feature a double dose of terrifying tales, one told tongue in cheek and one straight down the line.

One will be 'Oh, Whistle and I'll Come to You' by M.R. James, adapted by Nobby Dimon, and the other will be 'The Signalman' by Charles Dickens, adapted by Simon Corble.

Other upcoming Victoria Hall performances will be by jazz band The Temperance Seven at 7.30pm on Saturday and Jon Boden and the Remnant Kings at 7.30pm on Sunday.

Settle Orchestra's autumn concerts will take place at 7.30pm on Saturday in Settle Parish Church and at 7.30pm Saturday, November 25, in Christ Church, Skipton.

The programme, conducted by Alexander Webb, will include Mendelssohn's 'Fingal’s Cave Overture' Saint-Saëns' 'Cello concerto No 1' and Beethoven's 'Symphony No 6 (Pastoral Symphony)'.

BARNOLDSWICK: The fast-growing Jeramiah Ferrari, a young Manchester band who fuse together styles of reggae, rock, ska and punk, will perform on Sunday at the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

Barnoldswick's band Suburban Symphony will perform on Thursday, November 23. The band members include Anthony Edwards, Andrew Gilmour, Tom Hargreaves, Sam Bisset and Lewis Rennison.

KILNSEY: The Upper Wharfedale Arts and Literature Society will hold its annual general meeting on Tuesday at Conistone with Kilnsey Village Hall.

The meeting starts at 7pm with refreshments served at 7.30pm followed by Ian Fleming speaking about the 'Capturing the Past' project being carried out in the Ingleborough area.
