Sir – I was saddened to read the report on the chap who was prosecuted for his car insurance being out of date (January 2, 2014).
What has happened to common sense and good old British fair play?
I despair at a society where you no longer have to have criminal intent to find yourself on the wrong side of the law, but simply “be human” and make a mistake.
As a 68-year-old, trying to pick my way through the minefield that is car insurance, I feel an element of “there but for the grace of God”.
Commonsense nil, revenues 1.
It’s so sad. Is this the over-judgmental future we want for our grandchildren?
