Sir – I, like Dee Ralph (Letters, January 9), was taken to A&E at Airedale by ambulance and the treatment I received from the paramedics was excellent. I then spent three weeks on Ward 7 where in my opinion the treatment there was first class, the food was very good, the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them; all very helpful and polite.
During the three weeks I was there quite a lot of patients came and went. Some were very nice, some were awkward, some were very off-hand and one or two weren’t bad mannered – they didn’t have any manners at all!
But the staff looked after them just the same with a smile and efficiency.
No one wants to go into hospital but if you have to I can’t imagine getting better treatment than I got on Ward 7.
Many thanks to all staff on Ward 7.
Peter Watson, Skipton
