About this neighbourhood

map

Skipton, Embsay and Eastby are policed by the Skipton Safer Neighbourhood Team. This team is led by Inspector Craig Linton. Skipton is a historic market town, located in Craven District. It is a popular tourist destination and is commonly known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'. A market is held on Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday and attracts many 1000s of visitors to the town on a weekly basis . In order to improve quality of life and keep crime down, we need to identify local priorities, by asking the public what they want us to tackle. This is an ongoing project and we will provide updates on our progress against the priorities identified. The team of dedicated Police Officers and PCSOs are continually canvassing the public to ensure that our work reflect the needs within the Wards.

The force responsible for policing and crime prevention in this area is North Yorkshire Police.
