Villages seek new postmasters

Craven looks set to lose another two post offices temporarily.

Post Office Ltd needs people to run the post offices in Langcliffe and Draughton after the previous postmasters resigned.

The news comes weeks after the company announced it was closing the offices in Farnhill and Giggleswick as part of a cost-cutting exercise. A third, at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, is to have a "mobile outreach" service.

The post office facilities in Langcliffe and Draughton will not be available after Thursday April 24.

Bill Earnshaw, of Post Office Ltd, said anyone interested must be able to provide suitable, alternative premises. Call 0845 6016260.
