Cub achieves top award
A Sutton Cub Scout has achieved the movement's highest award.
Eleven-year-old Lewis Rushden was presented with his Silver Award at a meeting of the 1st Kildwick and Farnhill cub pack.
Pack leader David Allen said few Cubs got the award before they moved on to Scouts.
To achieve the award, Lewis completed three Challenge badges, including the Outdoor Challenge badge, and had to take part in an activity outside of Cubs for eight weeks and organise an activity for the rest of the pack. For this, Lewis did an archery course at South Craven School, Cross Hills, and helped organise the Cub's Gang Show in November last year.
South Craven District Commissioner Edward Randall presented Lewis with his Silver Award badge.
