Forum will host town hall display

Plans for the refurbishment of Settle Town Hall will be one of the key displays at the Mid Craven and Ribblesdale Area Forum on Tuesday.

The meeting, at Victoria Hall, Settle, will also see the official launch of the Craven Biodiversity Action Plan and officers will be on hand to answer any questions.

This year the Settle meeting will be a "drop-in" event, running from 6pm to 9pm, when residents can attend for a quick chat or stay longer.

"We do hope the new format of the Settle Forum will encourage even more residents to take part," said Paul Ellis, Craven District Council's head of stronger communities.

"It is vital that we hear the views of our residents so that we can shape the way services are delivered."

Other forum dates are: North Craven - Ingleborough Community Centre, Thursday May 15; Wharfedale - Cracoe Village Hall, Monday May 19; and Airedale and South Craven - Glusburn Institute, Thursday May 22. All start at 7pm.
