Pensioner's heartbreak after second purse theft
A Skipton woman is heartbroken after having her purse stolen for the second time in five weeks.
Doreen Larson, 75, lost more than £100 in cash, bank cards and an identity card when thieves took her purse in Skipton's Age Concern shop last Friday.
Mrs Larson had just been to the bank to withdraw money when her black leather purse was stolen from her bag.
"Whoever took it has got no respect for themselves or anyone else," she said this week. "That was my pension. I cannot understand it."
Five weeks ago, Mrs Larson had a purse containing £60 taken from her coat pocket in the Westgate store.
She said: "It makes me so angry to think that whoever took my money could be spending it on drugs or alcohol. I was crying when it happened the second time; it's heartbreaking."
Anyone with information should call Skipton Police Station on 0845 6060 247.
