Motorists are being alerted about possible delays because of roadworks on four routes in Craven.

Repairs to the rail track will force the temporary closure of the Cracoe to Hetton Road - the C404 - at Rylstone level crossing on Friday between 9am to 4pm.

Similar delays will be experienced on the C235 Cononley Lane at Cononley level crossing from 10.30pm on Saturday May 24 to 9.30am on Sunday May 25 so track repairs can be carried out.

Drainage work will be carried out along the C385 Bentham Road to Ingleton, between Wilson Wood and Park Foot, from Monday May 19 to Friday May 23.

And a water main connection will involve the closure of part of Bankwell Road, Giggleswick, over the same period.

At all locations access for pedestrians will be maintained, but people will have to make arrangements with the contractor to access cars. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed, says North Yorkshire County Council.

Don't rush it. It's not for another week yet, and besides, for most of the time it will be dark. Nothing to see.
