Memories of rationing, black-outs and sounds of the 1940s will be flooding back as Ingleton prepares for its annual World War Two festival this weekend.
There will be a host of WWII re-enactments, troop-rallying songs, parades and watch dances both on Saturday and Sunday.
And there will also be run-ins with the Gestapo, passport checkpoints and GI personnel Herr Flick and Helga keeping an eye on proceedings, along with Winston Churchill.
Military vehicles will be on show and the Ovaltinies will serenade visitors.
Tea dances are also being held in the community hall and participants can dress in costume of the day to soak up the nostalgic atmosphere.
There will also be a French café, 'Allo, 'Allo style.
Other attractions include an Ensa (Entertainments National Service Association) show, dancing by local school children and other street attractions.
Last year the war weekend attracted thousands of visitors from as far away as Manchester and Middlesbrough.
