Beware of low-flying witches at Bolton Abbey.

Ten such creatures have set up home in Strid Wood for this year’s Pumpkin Trail, which starts on Saturday.

Youngsters are being challenged to count the number of pumpkins on the route and write down the type of animals with the witches.

And they could be in with a chance of winning a family season ticket to the estate if they manage to answer one final question - which of the animals would the witches not use in their cauldrons?

The trail will run until Sunday, November 4.
