Mountaineer to talk about Everest

Experienced mountaineer Mike Trueman is to give a presentation in Skipton next month. Mr Trueman, who has led 20 Himalayan adventures, including four to Everest, is the managing director of True Adventure and has been responsible for more than 1,600 school expeditions. His talk, at Ermysted’s Grammar School, is in aid of a pupils’ expedition to India next year and will concentrate on a 1996 expedition to Everest. Tickets for the presentation, which will take place at 7pm on Thursday, November 22, in the school’s Memorial Hall, cost £7 for adults and £5 for under-18s, including a drink.
