Cottage extension gets the go-ahead

A planned two-storey extension to a farm worker’s cottage in Wigglesworth has been given the go-ahead. New Laithe Barn had a chequered planning history, Craven District Council’s planning committee heard on Monday. The barn was originally given planning permission for its conversion into two holiday cottages, but now consists of one holiday cottage and one agricultural worker’s house, following a successful planning appeal. The committee agreed that the planned extension would be an improvement on the existing single-storey extension, which was to be removed.
