Dales bus service timetable launched
10:58am Friday 2nd November 2012 in News
DalesBus – whose volunteers manage and market the bus network for the benefit of the community – has launched its new winter timetable.
Following the withdrawal of Jacksons from Sunday operations, TransDev Keighley & District will operate the popular Cravenlink buses between Ilkley and Skipton together with the connecting Keighley to Skipton and Keighley to Ilkley services.
A new ticket - the K-Day Dales - is available on Sundays for just £7 (family ticket £13.20) and is valid on all TransDev Keighley & District buses, plus the 872 Skipton to Grassington and DalesBus services between Ilkley, Grassington and Buckden and the monthly service to Malham. The £3.60 K-Day ticket will no longer be valid on the 872.
There are minor changes to Cravenlink including a new 17.45 Ilkley to Skipton bus but the 8.35 Skipton to Ilkley will be withdrawn due to poor loadings. Extra buses on service 762 will operate from Keighley to Ilkley at 8.30 and from Ilkley to Keighley at 19.10.
Service 874 continues unaltered and there are no changes to weekday Pride of the Dales services.
Cravenlink provides a connection from Ilkley at 9.15 to the Settle-Carlisle train at Skipton Station on Sunday mornings.
The Dentdale Explorer bus continues to operate every Saturday from Dent Station to Dent, Sedbergh and Kendal connecting with the 9.12 train from Keighley calling at Skipton at 9.26.
