Coronation Street star Peter Armitage officially relaunched Skipton’s Swadford Centre.
Mr Armitage, who plays Bill Webster in the TV soap, often helps out at the social centre for the over 50s.
Formerly known as the Old Folks Rest Centre, it has been refurbished with a new kitchen, which offers hot and cold snacks and home baked meals.
The work has been paid for by fundraising events over the past two years and donations from Magnet, Skipton, Walhropp Associates, Craven Trust, Ross Turner, Skipton Mechanics and the “girls” at the former Co-op Food Fair.
