Budding business leaders stole the show at an open day at Skipton’s Christ Church Primary School.
Simone Bennett, headteacher, said the open day had been a joint venture between the school’s governors and parent teacher association.
It had also been supported by local craftspeople and community groups.
“This year’s highlight was the enterprise room, selling products made by Amethyst class of year five and six pupils,” she said.
“The project had seen them have to meet and be briefed by a business consultant, register their company online through a purpose-built portal, shop for resources and work out prices to make a profit, which all groups did.
“Amethyst teacher Katy Hooke said that the project had been a fantastic success and had really made the children think about the world of business.”
