1:29pm Thursday 22nd November 2012 in News
Police are investigating a number of theft offences in the Cross Hills area.
A thief tried to break into a Peugeot van in Baxterwood, Cross Hills, at about 11pm on Thursday, but failed to gain entry.
CCTV shows a man arriving in a pale coloured Vauxhall Astra or Vectra. He is described as white, with dark short hair, heavy build, and light coloured clothing.
And a Peugeot Bipper van was targeted in North Street, Sutton, between 9.30pm on Thursday and 7am on Friday and the offenders took a large number of power tools.
On the same night, a stone ornamental sun dial was stolen from Elmore Terrace, Cross Hills.
The theft follows another reported in the area the previous week when a Ford Transit was broken into on Croft Head Terrace, Glusburn.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Andy Woolley at Cross Hills Police Station on 101.
