“Mo Bros” across the region are being invited to parade their newly grown moustaches at Skipton’s Le Bistro des Amis - and help grow the “stache” of cash.

Along with thousands of others, the Le Bistro boys are taking part in Movember, the month-long campaign where men grow moustaches to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Le Bistro boss Luc Daguzan and his lip-sprouting team have issued an open invitation to furry-faced fellow men to join their “La Moustache du Patron” evening on Tuesday when prizes will be awarded for the best “soup strainers” on show.

Skipton hair stylists Marie Clough and Laura Broadbent will have the final decision on the “Man of Movember”.

There will also be a charity auction.

Bar manager Damien Newhouse said: “We are inviting local businesses and individuals to donate suitable lots to help swell the Movember kitty.”

Anyone willing to support the cause should contact him at Le Bistro.

Tickets cost £10 and include a hot supper and a glass of wine. All proceeds will go to Movember.
