Budding photographers can improve their technique whilst helping to make a difference to the landscape, economy and people of the Yorkshire Dales.

Professional photographer Steve Finch has teamed up with the Clapham-based Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT).

He will be holding one-day photography workshops in Settle on December 8 and January 26, which are perfect for anyone with a Digital SLR camera who wants to progress from the automatic setting. Steve will donate £10 from each booking to the charity. A resident of Settle, Steve has been a dedicated supporter of the charity for many years and has provided images for use in the trust’s newsletters, posters and calendars.

He said: “The Yorkshire Dales is a great place for photography and Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust have consistently delivered projects that support the Dales.”

YDMT director David Sharrod said: “We are very grateful to Steve for his long standing generosity and support.

“Earlier this year we ran similar workshops together which raised almost £500 for the Trust. Thanks to this significant donation we were able to continue working on projects such as the restoration of wildflower hay meadows and native broadleaf woodlands around the Yorkshire Dales.”

Places are limited and cost £85 per person. To book or for more information, visit stevefinchphotography.co.uk.
