Sutton haulage firm High Pole diversifies to meet demand

A Sutton haulage and building materials company is bucking the recession after diversifying into a niche market.
High Pole has begun blast cleaning in response to requests from clients, and has been able to take on a new member of staff for the role.
High Pole offers a one-stop shop for building and landscaping materials, with associated services including haulage, crane wagons and signwriting.
Graeme Thomas, who owns the company, said: “Through the diversification process we have been able to expand and set on another member of staff whose primary role is dedicated to the blast cleaning.”
