A tanker, carrying 27,000 litres of milk, veered off the B6265 road near Rylstone, went over a hedge and ended upside down in a field during the early hours of last Wednesday.
The 29-year-old driver escaped with a suspected broken wrist and ankle and was taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment.
Police say the accident occurred near Scale Hill House just before 3am and milk poured into the field. The fire service dealt with the spillage while the tanker owners, a dairy company, sent equipment to pump out the remaining milk.
The road was closed for three hours while the vehicle was recovered. It is understood a telegraph pole was also damaged in the incident.
