Youngsters across Craven have been dressing up as shepherds, kings, angels and animals to tell the original story of Christmas.
Most opted for a traditional nativity, but others have chosen a more contemporary approach.
For instance, pupils at Cracoe and Rylstone Primary School expanded on their current Second World War topic and wrote their own play about a group of London evacuees staying in Cracoe in 1942.
It included jive dancing and a community sing-song of wartime songs.
