Farnhill Parish Council to consider funding request for institute

Farnhill Parish Council will consider a funding request from the trustees of the Kildwick and Farnhill Institute.
They have asked for financial assistance towards ongoing maintenance work and the updating of the kitchen.
The trustees attended the December meeting to put forward their case, but councillors deferred making a decision.
They said that, while they would like to support the institute, they needed more detailed information on what the trustees intended to use the money for and a rough estimate of cost and timescale of the work.
Now the parish council will decided whether to give a grant when it meets at Kildwick and Farnhill Institute next Tuesday, January 8, at 7.30pm.
