Pupils at a South Craven primary school have been learning life-saving skills.
Students at Sutton C of E Primary School were given a first aid lesson by Alison Way, a trainer with St John Ambulance.
Headteacher Tim Phillips said that Alison showed the children how to perform CPR, apply bandages and stop nosebleeds.
He said: “We hope the children never have to use this training, but we thought it would good to broaden their skills and it is certainly something that can apply if needed.”
