Craven District Council is offering local talented athletes free use of its facilities at Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre in Skipton for a year.
The scheme supports the district’s elite athletes who are competing at regional or national level.
Coun Linda Brockbank, lead member for empowering communities, said: “The district can already boast about the number of top class athletes from Craven who are competing successfully on the regional, national and international stage and it is hoped that this scheme will help even more local athletes reach the top.”
The scheme is open to anyone living in the district who is over 16 and part of a home nation team; over 14 and listed in the top ten of any national group ranking; selected as part of an official national training squad or programme; or a member of a current regional team.
Applications must be made to Craven District Council by Friday, January 11. Details are available from Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre on 01756 792805 or visit cravendc.gov.uk/FANS.
