Biker seriously hurt in Skipton crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Skipton on Sunday afternoon.

It occurred at the junction of Carleton Road and Carleton New Road at 3.20pm and involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Kawasaki ZX900.

The motorcyclist, a 55-year-old man from the Bingley area, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Airedale General Hospital.

The car was driven by a 38-year-old local woman.
