Plan for turbine at Rathmell refused on appeal

A 20m high turbine planned for Hesley Hall Farm, Rathmell, has been turned down on appeal.

The planned turbine was refused permission by Craven District Council in July and has now been dismissed by a government inspector.

In his decision notice, Philip Major said the harm which would be caused to the character of the area, bordering the Forest of Bowland, outweighed any benefits.
