Barnoldswick high school students created outfits from second-hand clothes for a “trashion” show.

Pupils at West Craven High Technology College, with the help of the school’s technology staff, created a show based on the 6Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle, refuse, repair and rethink. Each year nine technology group undertook a section of the show to work on.

The textile group collected clothes, either from home or from second-hand shops, and redesigned them into a new fashion outfit, while product design students created masks and body adornments to be worn by the creators.

The food technology group made a selection of snacks and drinks which were sold to visitors and the graphic products group designed the show set and advertised the event.

Proceeds were donated to the Help for Heroes charity.
